The Iron Skull in Halo 3 is a great way to increase your points in campaign scoring mode and frustrate the hell out of you - It’s extremely challenging when it’s turned on. However, you’ll feel like a rock star when you finally complete a level on Legendary.
What does the Iron Skull do?
In single player mode, you’ll be sent back to the beginning of the mission every time you die. And in co-op mode (the only way to play the campaign) the Iron Skull will send all of you back to the last checkpoint if ONE of you die.
Iron Skull Point Multiplier: 3x

Whenever I get to the Iron Skull’s location, it’s never there
