The most amazing thing happened during my first slayer match last night on Narrows. A few minutes into the round I had zero kills and our team leader, at the time, had 8. Each time I died and was forced to look at the scores, I thought I’d get booted for sucking so bad… And then I went on a terror, seven kill spree, whatever.

Long story short– Ended up as the leading the team in kills and almost K/D Spread– Which is amazing because A) I’m not good and 2) I died lots in the beginning.

Using the Halo 3 statistics from Bungie.net is nice to see what I was doing, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

For example, I was running around like an idiot and getting killed in the beginning. After seeing my embarrassing score, I decided to do things a little different, like hang out with my team instead of trying to be RAMBO. And I started jumping around. Literally.

If there’s one lesson that can be learned from this game, it’s to stick with your team and jump often.
