Yes, Isolation is the worst Halo 3 map. But that’s just my opinion. In fact it’s not based on anything except the fact that I suck at it. Period.
And yes, I hate Snowbound too, but hear me out…
I’ve died more times on Isolation than any other map in Halo 3 and I get the lowest number of kills on that map too.
Not sure what my problem is, but I’ll guess it’s my strategy…
Usually, I’ll race to grab the brute shot and get sniped or battle rifled from 100 yards.
So that doesn’t work, but it get worse…
Second time out, I’ll haul ass down underground and grab the spike grenades (because I loooove sticking people with em). In my lame attempt to get close and stick somebody, I’ll get beat down or ambushed by 3 of the enemies or sniped or battle rifled from 100 yards.
I seriously need to figure out a new strategy because so far I got nuttin on Isolation.
That’s why it’s my worst Halo 3 map.

HAHAHA isolation doesn’t suck, you do. Try actually doing something besides standing out in the open. You are a fool.

screw that, just get a BR and go to town
get a BR get to the rockets and learn to play.
If you ever get the chance to obtain the sniper. you can easily sit on the two back ends of the map and snipe people running from the high point down to the rocket/sniper area. Even if your not good with the sniper its a lot of open ground to double shot someone.
Thanks OREO 911 - I’ll try that next time I’m forced to play Isolation. But, like I said many times, I’m terrible with the sniper and at Halo 3 in general. Stay tuned.
Dude i hear you out i allways suck at that map. Im there comming in 1st place every time and then i get to that map and i come in last and i wonder how every 1 came to hate snow bound?

My worst map is Construct. I suck there but I am getting better. My new strat for Construct is sticking with teammates. Lots of maps you can get away with rolling alone. Anyway, what I try to do on Isolation is grab a BR head to the shotty spawn, pick it up and kill people with the BR at a distance and when people come for me hit with the shotty. It works until you get bum rushed but if you see that happening retreat! Or stick with teammates.

snowbound sucks compared to isolation,a good strat is br like the others said,however the ghost is very tempting when all there is to stop it is the rockets which dont lock anymore:)
ok well the thing is dont go for an online game to start try just a local game with your friends and find a route to the shotty that is well hidden dont just randomly run out and start shooting what i do is find a great sniping spot and kill all the people runnig for the rockets and is your not good with the sniper parctise with friends relitives or even by your self and stuff like that
The most effective way to win a game on Isolation is to talk to your team mates before game starts and call which weapons you guys should get first. Key weps are sniper and rockets, every one should get a br fast, a good way to win is to hang out in the back of the bases with sniper and rockets, keep the 2 team mates that don’t have rockets or sniper protecting them in the front of the group, make sure the other team doesn’t get the ghost, and you should be racking up in the kills.=)
Snowbound is very difficult if you do not control basement. When your team spawns your team should try to get both overshields while one team mate goes for sniper and secures the basement. One team mate stands on the left entrance of the basement and the other one stands on the right(these should be overshield people), while sniper is in the back of the basement helping out either right or left and middle. The last team mate should protect sniper. This is an effective way to win.

That’s one of the reasons I don’t like Snowbound - everybody uses that same strategy and it get boring… no… I get bored playing the same strategy every single time. I like to mix it up and try new things.
You’re so dumb bruteshot???? sucks go for shotgun drop down get rockets and take out the sniper get your 3 kills with them go in the little room wait for guys to come in shotgun them if your about to die drop down the whole and if they follow you’ll have the advantage
wow what u need to do is go for the sniper and br and waht the other guy said GO TO TOWN WITH THE br and if u make it to the sniper go to the sniper and get some no scopes and scopes

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER BE A NOOB AND GRAB THE NEEDLER ROCKET LAUNCHER BRUTESHOT OR ANY OF THAT NOOBY CRAP THOS GUNS TAKE NO SKILL OR LUCK
I just set up street cones ontop of stuff and try to no scope them, and if there real far i only scope once.. it helpss alott .. go on foundry and it will help you get headshotts.. cuz in game the aimer slows down just a little bitt when it turns red, which helps outt TONNZZ,
andd with the BR.. play a few games with shield vaporizum on.. its when you gain helth for shooting someone, play just a BRs game and just practise ur BR movement, andd try to not use the same pattern over and over, otherwise ull get f*#&ed harder then a Hippo
