We all thought HaloBuds might be going down and it was a dark moment for us all. However their is some light of hope left it seems…
Several new authors, including myself, were recruited by the excellent people here at HaloBuds and we’re more than ready to help breathe some life back into the best Halo 3 resource there is.
I havent had opportunity to speak to the other’s about what needs to be done to get HaloBuds back on its feet and considering my less than spectacular skills with this word processor i decided it would be best to ask everyone what they wanted doing. I definately intend to get round to finishing off the weapons and maps sections, but untill then i welcome any suggestions.

I think a nice update on the design can really help out here. Content is the main focus, and right now it’s the same width as the two sidebar columns combined. Maybe just ease up on some of the categories, or have a different way to present them.
Another nice feature might be to feature a Halo clan every week (or every other) that way you can bring in some of their members, and hopefully vice versa. Also would be a great idea to talk about other communities that provide for fans (eg: Halo3.junk.ws ♥) that way you can showcase it new people, and it’ll make a great review entry.
I wanted to set up some kind of clan list where people could easily look up opponents, but i can only write stories im afraid Riane. I might try to do some community advertising soon but at the moment im still fairly limited at what i can do (bad with the system) Maybe Halobuds has a solution though.
Anyway at the moment im trying to settle into a 3 posts a week swing, starting with news and game info (maps, weapons achievements etc). Im happy to branch out as much as possible though if people have topic requests?
Unfortunately you did not read what I wrote correctly. I said that you can easily write about other clans–feature them on a week-by-week basis. Showcase the awesome Halo communities that are out there, so maybe readers who have never heard of them can find out about them. It’ll also help create more exposure for this website, and for the clan.
Nowhere did I say anything about a clan ladder. So next time just read slowly :) You obviously have the ability to blog, which means that there’s an ability to write up feature posts about clans, and other Halo community websites.
No, i read it right, its just too time consuming and difficult to track down and accurately research individual clans by myself. and considering that im primarily a forge/infection fanatic, i dont want to present a biased group of clans and ignore a large group of the community.
Dont get me wrong, id love too see some community coverage going up, but i honestly have no idea where to begin and its just too big a job for me too handle alone on top of college work and other commitments. If there were another couple of authors then thumbs up though.

Sorry but I think your reasons are a bit bullshit. If you don’t have time to make a simple blog, then why did you opt to write up posts here? So far none of your posts have even been about forge/infection, so quite frankly, I see no qualms about trying out other topics to post about.
But I suppose if you want to provide me with more than 4 scapegoats, that’s fine by me.

Thats a bit harsh… I wasnt trying to be confrontational, theres no need to get hostile. I signed up because i like the website and i didnt want to see it go down. I dont have much time because of revision for my college finals and theres nothing i can do about that. So the posts are going to be a bit dull for awhile, its the best i can do and im sorry.
I heard your idea, dont want to do it. I aready said if there were other circumstances i would, but untill then im not going to give a regular clan coverage. No offense but if this is a topic you want posting so much, why not try and sign up yourself? Aside from anything the help would be appreciated…
