Halo 3 Easter Eggs?

Somebody found these strange “Easter Eggs” in the Sandtrap level. What do they mean to Halo 3? No idea, but they sure are weird looking.

The egg is a piece of unrenderable material that the level designer moved up the spires to hide it from players. The letters and colours on it are the default texture that any object reverts to unless changed, called the rainbow alphabet texture, it is no code just a texture.
