Let’s get back to basics with some good old multiplayer tips, eh? One of my favorite multiplayer maps for Halo 3 is the Pit.

If you’ve played the Pit, I’m sure you’ve taken part in the balls-to-the-walls race for that big throbbing rocket… launcher.

Like the women say, “Stop calling me.” Or maybe it was something about being too quick…

Anyways… To actually last more than 10 seconds in the… Pit… just do what I do: Reach down, grab that Needler with an iron fist, wait for the right moment and start spraying it deep into the nearby cavity.

In fact, try to shoot all the way through to the other side :)

Some guys are smart and they’ll be ready – standing in a circle with Needlers in hand. If you see another needler firing in the area, back away and wait till he’s empty. Then blast him with every ounce you’ve got.

Below, you can see I sprayed Lo Pan all over his chest. “That big rocket’s not doing you much good is it Lo Pan?”

In most of our multiplayer games on the Pit, guys try to get in and out as quickly as possible because they think they’ll feel more confident with a bigger weapon – and we can use our tiny Needlers to turn those quick finishers in to easy, limp kills.

The trick is to use what you’ve got.

Grab that Needler, move around while firing (don’t forget to breathe), turn your enemy into a limp, lifeless corpse and enjoy the wonderful sensation, warmth and satisfaction immediately following your conquest.
