More Halo 3 Maps Coming!

Halo 3 LogoAs you already know, Bungie just released three new maps for Halo 3…

And they ain’t done yet.

They’re already talking about more downloadable content (maps!), other goodies and some surprises. But here’s the kicker:

We’re playing the next batch of DLC. This first trio has been very well received. Eventually your Halo experience will be so swollen and engorged that you’ll have a hard time even remembering what the original map selection was. In the future, we’ll be bringing you more fully custom built maps and they may include one or more of the following:

  • Symmetrical arena maps for competitive play
  • Returning classics demanded by the fans
  • Crazy new stuff you never expected
  • Unusual maps with lots of potential for interesting game types
  • Graphically spectacular settings
  • More Forge objects to use on new maps
  • Surprises

Holy crap, did ya’ll catch that? “Returning classics demanded by the fans!??!

Schwing!

Hopefully the classic maps are included in the next mystery update. How bad ass will that be?

And good golly, how long will people be playing Halo 3 with all this new content and maps? Really. Halo 2 ruled the Xbox for what? Ever? I’m pumped because this game has got some legs to keep it going for a long, long time.

Would you agree that people will keep playing Halo 3 for at least the next 3-4 years? What if they release two new maps for X dollars every 6 months? Would you still play?

Anybody?
