Tips for Co-op Campaign

Co-Op Legendary AchievementFinally completed the Campaign on Legendary. It was a difficult battle, but me and Dawlers came out on top. The universe is safe people. You’re welcome. Here are some quick strategy, tips and tricks that I learned the hard way…

Tips for Co-op Campaign:

Play Co-op! I tried a couple of Campaign levels solo and it was really, really difficult. Sure, you can get through it, but you’ll die more than a few times. Playing with a second person is perfect and you can whip through it at speed.

Forget about only using your “favorite” weapon! It will run out of ammo and you will get stuck using the Needler, Spiker or Carbine — which forces you to learn them all.

Give your friendlies the biggest weapons! The Rocket Launcher will run out of ammo if you’re using it — But, it’s got unlimited ammo if your friendlies use it!

Swap weapons with other good guys often. Especially if you’re driving a vehicle! If you’re driving, that Fuel Rod Cannon, Rocket Launcher or Spartan Laser on your back isn’t doing anything! Give it to your human riding in the passenger seat and let them tear up the Covenant with unlimited ammo!

There are several levels in the campaign where you’ll have to pile into vehicles. It’s a good idea for you to drive one and have your co-op partner drive another vehicle or get on the Warthog’s machine gun. Just make sure you have the other (”computer” controlled) friendlies rock the “big” weapons and ride shotgun.

In case you don’t already know, you can swap weapons with the other soldiers by getting close to them:110807get-close.jpg

When you’re close enough, the “Hold RB to take ally’s weapon” message will appear in the top right: corner of your HUD:110807hud.jpg

Swap weapons, climb into the Warthog an now your team is ready to whoop some Covenant butt:110807warthog.jpg
