GameSpot.com has a great explanation of the process this dude used to cheat the Halo 3 experience rating and reach 5-Star General. You can see the full post here.
It’s a very planned and thought-out scheme that involves creating extra Xbox Live accounts to take the “experience hit” — And an Xbox 360 console left on auto-pilot in a social doubles matchmaking for 24 hours.
According to GameSpot, ProJecT TimeZ is number 1 in the worldwide experience ranking and his co-autopilot-cheater is Hittman 720. Hittman is 2nd in the worldwide experience ranking.
The author also says that this type of cheating “… devalues the EXP system making it useless as a real experience marker in Matchmaking…”

Ew. Cheaters = DISGUSTING. Worst thing in halo 2 are the modders and what-not. I can’t believe there’s still punks out there cheating. It takes away from the game, I win with pure skill and that’s what it’s all about in halo 3. It makes me feel good to win without cheating. With cheating, it takes the fun away and pisses people off.
Cheating is senseless. You’ll get caught by those clever guys at Bungie. Always.

R3MS KING: you probably can’t rank up because you’ve reached your peak…depending on your record you will a eventually hit a wall where you have to win about 50 games in a row to rank up and it really gets impossible….obviously you have too many losses to go past 46 so if you really wanna keep going start a new account and try again,since youre starting over already knowing the game you’ll avoid losses you had due to inexperience and next time you get to 46 you’ll be able to rank up
and exp boosting isnt really cheating because all it does is up your exp, you still have to get to 50 on your own

Ima 46 captain grade 2 on doubles and I rank up like crazy every time i win a match, wat i do is use two accounts on the same screen and i do all the work my self on 1 account, Ive had an a untouchable once playing these two brigadiers level 49’s and i owned these guys, When i won i ranked up from a lvl 43 to a level 46. Its not the ranking system thats messed up, its the people who cant play better than they did before. Its all about doing better than you did in previous games ya dig newbies!

i just started 5 days ago and only played about 10 team doubles matches. (btw-i hide) so i only lost two matches and im a rank 13. i won 7 games in a row with my partner (LT4MVP21-who also hides ^_^) send me a request and i’ll show you every hiding spot that i know of, i found alot on my own.
Or, visit http://www.youtube.com and search for hiding tactics. they can explain it sometimes. Theyre spots don’t work though! repeat! DON’T WORK!
I really am tired of cheaters…. and kids need to learn how to play the game. To be honest halo 3 isnt even about skill anymore its anout who camps more… see it from my point of view and get a life kid
